Two weekly high-rotation playlists, powered by European Top 44 airplay data and curated by IT4Radio music scheduling experts.
Each playlist represents a ready-made starting point for European radio stations building their own rotations. Think of them as the common ground – the songs that are working across the continent right now, filtered through the lens of two distinct format profiles.
The EHR Playlist is built for European Hit Radio formats. Twelve A-rotation titles and twenty-four B-rotation titles, reflecting the broadest cross-section of what mainstream European radio is playing this week for younger audience.
The Hot AC Playlist follows the same structure – twelve A, twenty-four B – tuned for Hot Adult Contemporary formats, where the selection skews slightly older and more melodic.
Both playlists are generated from real airplay data collected through the European Top 44 monitoring engine, then refined by human ears and professional music scheduling parameters. The result is not a raw data dump, but a curated rotation built for an imaginary pan-European station in each format – a baseline that any music director can use as a reference point and adapt to local taste.
Updated weekly with each new chart cycle. It is normal to see the same playlists for a few weeks in a row.
YOUR A AND B LISTS DEFINE YOUR STATION'S SOUND
Five wrong songs in high rotation will steer your station in a completely different direction than intended. The European Top 44 playlist is a universal reference - it works as a trend monitor from Norway to Greece, and/or from Portugal to Romania. But listeners in all four countries have fundamentally different sensibilities, habits and musical taste, and this applies to any given market out there. Copying a pan-European chart into your music scheduling software is not a playlist strategy. Think of it as a guide what songs a MD should keep an ear on and consider for playing.
A and B lists built for your station need to account for your format, your market, your audience and your competitive landscape. If your station doesn't have a music director with the experience, knowledge and integrity to be responsible for at least two thirds of your listeners' station choice, that expertise can come from outside: IT4RADIO can help.
